Our school is celebrating these important days by weaving stars to contribute to the International One Million Stars to End Violence community project. These stars are symbols of light, courage and solidarity to end all forms of violence, including violence against women, bullying and racism.
Our goal is for each student to weave a star. These stars will be sent to Queensland for inclusion in the installation at the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in 2018 in Queensland, in partnership with the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) arts and cultural program. The video below gives simple instruction for weaving these stars.
