Safer Internet Day (SID) is an annual, worldwide event held on Tuesday 6 February 2018 to help encourage a better internet, with this year’s theme ‘Create, connect and share respect: A better internet starts with you’.
Celebrated globally in 130 countries, Safer Internet Day is coordinated by the joint Insafe/INHOPE network, with the support of the European Commission, and national Safer Internet Centres across Europe. All students took part in an activity to inspire positive change and raise awareness of online safety issues. Students pledged to undertake a strategy that will promote the safe and positive use of digital technology.
